Car Model:
I just bought four new 9" brake drums from an Ebay store for a maybe too-good-to-be true-price of $24 each delivered.

They're stamped as follows:

All four: "made in USA", "Century"
Front drums: 9.090 maximum width
Rear drums: 9.060 maximum width

Additionally, the boxes containing the front and rear drums are marked as follows:

(front) A/S AD-8303, Bendix 140178, Raybestos 2940, Wagner 60082
(rear) A/S AD-8304, Bendix 140179, Raybestos 2941, Wagner 60083

Measured outboard to inboard:
The front drums are 3" wide with an extra 1/2" lip
The rear drums are 2.5" wide with an extra 3/8" lip

Possibly the A/S AD numbers are for the Century brand (which I never heard of) or else are code numbers used by the Ebay store.

So, are these drums OK for my 63 Dart 225 with manual brakes?

Century's been making junk for years :-\

They'll work, and might be "less bad" than some of the even stinkier junk out of China...
