| Post subject: | Replacement Torsion Bars, Where? |
Just checked with a dealer for replacement torsion bars for my 1980 Dodge Aspen and I was told they have been discontinued. The bars on this car are transverse mounted and positively locate the lower control arm the way strut rods did with the longitudinal bar setup. The torsion bar to lower control arm bushings are available, but not the pivot cushion bushings. It is on national backorder, but may or may not become available. So to eliminate excess lower control arm play, I either need the replacement bars with the bushings or someone who makes the pivot cushion bushings. Can anyone help? Thank you. Mitch mb589@aol.com |
