In my car I am using the MSD 6AL with the wire cut for a 6 cylinder. My box is wired and taped into the harness and would be a real pain to get out.
My builder has a new 6AL box he plans to put in this V8 truck and will let me use it. (can't cut the 6 cylinder wire)
My question is about rev limiting.
I want to hold my motor to no more than 6200 rpm. I believe if I install a 4600 chip that should hold me below 6133 rpm.
Does this sound right?
Also how do dyno's mearsure rpm. Do they just use a plug wire clamp?
