What's an "open posi?" The Charger is a B-body car; the housing will be wider than you need and the spring perches are not right for an A-body

The B-body axle assembly can be used in an A-body, but you'll need to cut off the spring perches and install a new set in the correct location (and orientation).

Make sure it is a pre '71 housing. The '71 and up B-bodies got wider and will be way too wide for any kind of decent wheel selection under an A-body.

Except that the whole axle is 3" wider (68 - 70 B-body) or 6" wider (71-up B-Body). You'll need big backspacing on your wheels.
