Will the torque convertor from a 64 v-8 904 swap into a 64 slant six 904? They are both pushbutton transmissions. Thanks for any info! |

Yes, the converters are the same and will swap over but the books show the V8 unit as having more stall speed. I have swapped the factory V8 converters into SL6 applications, hoping I could get more stall speed, never noticed any increase. I think the higher stall rating was based on the converter being used behind a more powerful engine. DD |

Doc- Confirmed. Same P/N for torque converter used in A904 transmissions behind 170, 225, and 273 in '64, '65, '66 and '67. Didn't check later years 'cause we're not talking about later years. |
