| Post subject: | New double flaring tool |
I have been collecting parts to upgrade to disk brakes and to a dual master cylinder on my 66 Valiant. I also needed to replace the steel brakes lines on the rear end. But I was putting off the upgrade because I needed to make some custom steel brake lines. The tubing from the parts store was the wrong length. I had tried to make some double flairs with a kit from Jegs, it didn't work well. I tried another flaring tool from NAPA. The tool was $100 and is didn't work any better than the $30 tool from Jegs. Than a few months ago I was watching "Power Block TV" and they used a flaring tool that seemed to work well. I took the chance an purchased the double flaring tool from "MASTER COOL" it wasn't cheep but it works well. I should have new brakes and dual master cylinder soon. |
