I have 2 transmissions, a 74 904 318 tranny, and a 1973 slant 6 tranny. Will the 904 stall converter from the 318 car work with the slant tranny as far as fitment??

Yes, but what do you mean by a "stall converter"? All converters have a stall speed when used behind an engine of given characteristics. There are high-stall and low-stall converters, but no such thing as a "stall converter".

Feather,

The converter will interchange, or, yes you can run that converter on either trans.

You should know that if it stalls at 2600 on a 318, it will almost certainly stall between 1600-2100 on a Slant - been there, done that... It may not stall any higher than a stock Slant converter (usually 1700-1800).

Lou
