Have 64-Valiant The Only brake light switch I can
get thru local autoparts is a cheap little plastic
one that lasts maybe 6months to year and then
starts to stick then stops working. Is there a newer better working model that I can upgrade to ?
Or can you give me the name of an Online autoparts
place where I can order a dozen of the cheap ones.

Another option is to "plumb-in" a Fo@#$d Pressure activated switch. The last one I did this way screwed right into a second tapped hole already in the master cylinder. I just removed the plug and screwed in the pressure switch. (A brass "T" fitting can be used if your master cylinder does not have a second hole)

One trick I used was to quickly remove the plug & screw-in the pressure switch, leave it a little loose and have someone push the brake peddle to "purge-out" any air, while you watch for clear fluid and tighten.

What took me the most time was adding length and connector ends to the wires, in order to get onto the new switch.
