I have a rebuilt 225 in 67 dart, new Holley 64-3111 from summit; ran Ok when installed, had a few hassles ---New oil pumps with powder metal drive gears are NG junk, gear slipped , lost all pressure, but did not hurt it--saw light and stopped . You cannot "press on" powder metal !! Lame attempt by rebuilder to make it work by knurling drive input shaft. Steel gear only..warning!

Pushrod end cup broke off , exhaust , backfire every turn, unreal how violent. Has DC slant six ignition conversion

Now when I floor it, 8K later, i get a big moan and it goes no where ; when accellerating, almost feels like missing but it is not. feeling is like "it won't take the gas", lifting a little seems to make more torque. Any ideas? Tapped out of em! checked fuel supply, power valve (from backfire issue) seems ok..PV diaphram OK , but kind of a crummy fit in carb , no guide in bowl. Are they like that? Ignition all new, should be fine, does not seem like ignition issue . No points

The DC (MP) electronic ignition conversion kit includes a distributor with an "all in, right now" advance curve very poorly suited for street use. You'll want to recurve the distributor or swap in a different one. A carb with a number starting "64-" is not new, it is "remanufactured", with all the many problems that brings.

you got ME confused Charlie." userhelp" is the posters board name and he has to be logged in to post anything in the first place ? does'nt he?
Slant Six forum must have accepted "userhelp" as a legitimate board user name - so what is the problem you see?

No, "userhelp" is the account set up specifically for use by those having trouble logging onto their accounts or getting their account registrations validated.
