 Post subject: cecil county drags
PostPosted: Sun Jul 29, 2001 8:01 am
I was down at cecil county drag way on saturday here's how I did!
60ft 1/8 mph 1/4 mph
2.066 9.54 70.76 15.12 87.85
2.08 9.66 70.12 15.29 86.97
2.16 9.77 69.97 15.41 86.83

I was very pleased with the car it run smooth. The 15.12 was unexpected I was thinking about 15.4 or 15.5. before I went down I jetted the carb up one # to a 67. I must be starving it a little. for anyone that does not know, I am running a stock slant six 225 with a to3 turbo from a 2.5 four banger, 3" exhaust, four barrel holley, and a chome ecu with msd coil and timing control.

Way to go Andrew!
Take a "stock" 225 SL6, add a TO3 turbo and Holley 4 BBL to "feed-it" and run low 15's, I like it!
What rear gear ratio are you running? any Posi back there? I would think that traction is starting to become an issue with the car but I'm sure your "blowing some minds" with this deal.
Time to give the carb. even more jet??, can you say high 14's??

hey doug
I am putting a 650 dp on for next saturday. I run a 8 3/4 rear with 3.55 and a posi. As for traction it is spinning of the line but not more then once around then it hooks. I also put 235 60 14s on to help. when I ran the 15.12 it was at 7 psi.I let you guys know on sunday if I get in the 14s.

Isn't Cecil County Dragway in Budds Creek, Maryland? I raced there once about 1965.
