Post subject: Moly rings

67'Dart. Did any years have Moly rings? I doing a body resto this winter, and will have the engine
out. It has 85K , run's great (except for mileage) and I was thinking of a ring job
using moly's to buy some bore life, or do you think the ridge has already formed? Thanks

i would not put moly rings in 85,000 mile bores. they are tapered and out of round by now, and the ridge has almost definately formed. try a ridge reamer, ball hone, and a set of cast rings. they will seal much better than the molys. moly in a fresh bore is another story.
