As far as I know anything is ok in the slant class. Not sure what the tracks think, but as long as it is NHRA correct I dont see why not.

I think it is OK for bracket racing, but for setting records like A/Gas or A/Alcohol, it is not allowed. You might set an "unlimited" record using it?

Goodman's car used nitro a little, and there was some debate over whether they should hold an alcohol record as they might have run a little nitro. Seymour decided they were OK for the record they set, after talking to them and others.

My opinion:
Slant racing, anythig is legal, as long as the engine is a Chrysler Corp Slant Six. Nitro would be legal for a record in the "unlimited" class.
The only problem I can see, would be if the track knew you were running nitro. Most insurance polices, charge an additional premium, on the days the track has cars running "FUEL".
Don't have the NHRA rule book hany, but I think NHRA does not allow nitro in anything, but, Top Fuel, Fuel Funny Car, and at certain meets Top Fuel Motorcycle.

Seymour did a fuel check before the run that holds the record and it was just alky. If you guys and Mr. Parker want to kick the record out that is fine. We know we were legal. The reason we started running it is because Mike used nitrous against us at Topeka and wouldn't admit it to Seymour.
Put a little fuel fragrance in with the nitro and nobody knows. Make sure and route the exhaust where none enters the cockpit or you will be crying like a baby at the ET shack. We got up to 30% nitro to run the 10:50. The car ran 10:70's about anywhere with just alcohol which makes it still the quickest NA slant in the U.S.of A.

Hi Mark, glad to see you're still paying attention here. :D :D

I always thought your car was an engineering masterpiece. It's a shame it will never see the light of day again. :(

"putting a little fuel fragrence" into nitro will not mask the fact that it is nitro! When your eyes water and sting and you get a burning sensation in your nostrils, even if it is grape or cherry scented it's still NITRO! LOL

Mr Parker me Ron has nor had a concern about nitro. I doint know why you keep bringing my name up Team Green. I have no problems where we race or records. In the past they were some rule interpitations. Ask Mike Jefferys about this. If I have crossed your path the wrong way then I sorry for that. I try to support Slant Racing as best I can but it is getting difficult with statements like that. Just tell me what you doint like about me and we will work it out. Thanks Ron Parker :D :o

Yep people make remarks but no reply. I guess I doint have many racing buddies anymore cept my ole buddy Bagel . But that is ok because im a running against the wind . Let the redneck run against the wind. Because im a runnin against the wind. But you know Bagel we have had our battles but team green never shows up at Slant races. I guess it cause i doint scare them enuff. But I should because im runnin against the wind. So I keep runnin against the wind. :D
