Will they keep up with a 4-barrel (probably a 500 to 600 cfm) on a pretty strong built 225? THANKS! Darrin

My 2 cents worth.......

Good question that I don't have an answer for.

HOWEVER, I can tell you this...... looking at my 1987 truck service manual the specs show fuel pump pressure of 4.0 to 5.5 PSI for the Slant 6, and 5.75 to 7.25 PSI for 318/360. I've also noted in my 1970's era Chryco car service manuals that fuel pump pressure for v-8 engines is a couple pounds higher than Slant 6 specs. I don't have one of those manuals in front of me to look at right now.

The fuel level in the carb will change with different fuel pump pressure. I would suspect you may have to raise the float level in the carb slightly to maintian the correct fuel level with the lower pressure Slant 6 pump.
