So Fall Fling is around the corner here, and my '68 Dart's next item is a good Exhaust Manifold.
So far I've got .80 shaved off the head, 130% valve springs, Ported, Bored .060 over, Comp Cam k64-240-4, Offenhause 4 barrel intake mated with a Holly Carburetor.
Now, currently, I don't get the greatest milage, but I have the Offy on there.
I'm hoping to get an older set of Clifords or (and I love how they look) a set of Hookers (But my hopes are not high on that one).
After that, I obviously have to rerun the piping, so I'm looking for pipe size and configuration sugestions. Obviously, if its not detrimental to performance, I would like to go twin the full way with a crossover in there, if anything, for the looks. With Clifford sujesting 2 1/4" and duel 3 chamber mufflers, this question my be friviouls, but I thought it best to ask some others for a range of ideas.
P.S. I'm thinking Magnaflow or Flowmasters, but I'm not set on that either.

If you go with a single pipe, a 2.25" is pretty darn good. Look into the Flow Master 40 made by Thrush for $32.00. It is a very well built muffler that sounds good. Jegs and Summit sell the Thrush version I bought mine through Summit. It was installed in August and noticed a huge improvement in power and an improvement in mileage when heavily loaded.

If I were going with duals, it would be 2.25" to the "X" pipe and mufflers with 2" tail pipes. Some folks like 2" all the way for quieter duals.

Having a free flowing exhaust can really wake up a SL6. I was running 1.5" all the way back with a turbo. It was a slug in the mid to high end........low end was fine. It just seemed to top out a 60 mph. Now it will go to 90 in a heart beat. The bottom end is still punchy too. :D
