Hello, Does anyone have a link to listing of slant six casting numbers? I have tried multiple sites but all are for 8's. I have a intake # 4041043. I am trying to get info on it as it was given to me. Yes it is a supersix setup all was included but there was no info i.e. year, carb #. I need info to cleanup and install. The carb is main problem as it has no tag # so I thought if I can get year of intake from casting info it may help. I'm pretty sure carb is a Carter BBD. Thanks for the help.

Casting number info won't help you with carb ID...you'll get quicker/better info if you'll post some good, clear, sharp pictures of the carburetor from multiple angles, and tell us if your intake is made out of aluminum or iron.

That casting number is the super six iron intake from the late 70's (I should know I got a few being door stops in the garage next to the 1 barrel buddies from various years...

Hope the BBD still has it's tag, or hope it doesn't have a sticker on it (stickers are usually a remanf, Tomco, Holley II, etc...)

Thanks D, It puts me at a reference point. Thank you. The carb has nothing on it but casting #'s for the various components. Is the manifold ok to use. I have a 225 all stock except electronic ig, Dutra duals. I am building a 66 Dart Gt with my 12 yr old. 6 months ago it was in pieces now it is on the road and reborn. Any advice is appreciated as this is my first Mopar build. I just want to add a little pep to motor. Thanks

Yeah, just make sure if you use it with another exhaust manifold to get the parts mated and milled at your local competent machine shop so they are 'flat'... I don't use the aluminum version since it can be full 'o holes (porous)and the cast iron versions when i come across them, are cheap enough...

Good luck on your project, if you want to get wild, check the slixer's gallery for 66Dart's setup, that'll keep you motivated...

Thanks D, WOW!! That 66 looks fantastic! My compliments to you and the owner. Thank you for your time and I hope in the near future i can post some pics of our Dart. I can't go that wild as my main goal is to teach my son the basics of building and maintaining a car. We have so far rebuilt tranny, rebuilt entire suspension, gutted and rebuild all interior except painted parts. People like yourself on this forum have been a GREAT help to us and we thank everyone. I will use your advice and once again show my son the kindness you have shown with your responses to our ?'s. Thanks again
