Car Model:
I own a 1982 D150 truck that was bought by my dad right off the showroom floor. Its now mine and I have been been working on it for the past 3 years. When I first got it in 2005 it needed an overhaul which came to about $3,000. Then every month after that something else broke on it. I had enough and in October '06 I bought a fairly new car to be my daily driver. I then put the truck under a tarp. (I would turn it on and take it for a spin around town every couple weeks) This past summer I was working for a CNC company in an auto shop. I was talking to one of the auto techs and found out that he had owned a car with a /6. I then told him about my truck and he told me to bring it in. It turned out the last shop I took my truck to had messed a few things up. My alternator belt was on in the wrong grove, and a few worn out/cracked hoses hadn't been replaced. After installing a water pump, a new brake booster and an alternator it now drives as if it were a new truck.

I will soon be going off to college in Portland and will be taking my truck with me so I can keep working on it and drive it when I am working on my car. I want to do some performance upgrades to help it accelerate a little faster. My goal is to spend no more than $1,000 on parts. Right now I just have a single inlet/dual outlet Flowmaster Super 40 exhaust. I like the super6 set-up but don't know if it will work on my truck.

Thanks :D
