Post subject: | K/H Brake Question Please help an idiot! |
I want to swap a K/H setup onto my '72. I have only wrenched on drums and '73 discs so far, so I've never seen a K/H setup up close and personal. My parts car is across town and I can't go look at it tonite but I finally put $ in the bank so I can use my visa debit to purchase parts online. My question/ problem: on rockauto the '72 340cid demon parts list doesn't include a front hose like I used on my '73 caliper- one end to take a brake line fitting and clip into the bracket, and one end to take a banjo bolt and copper washer into the caliper body. The hoses I'm seeing for '72 are double female. Does the K/H take a short hard line inbetween the rubber hose and the caliper? Or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks Kevin in philly |

The K-H's take the hose with the double female ends. |

they use the same hose as the drum brakes. yes they do have a short hard line from the hose to the caliper just like the drum uses a short hard line form the hose to the slave. the disc brakes changed in 73. make sure you get a proportioning valve also, factory or aftermarket. basicly, swapping the spindle and everything on it is all you have to do. zedpapa |
