Hi,

I would like to know your oppinion about my transmission, because I think that it is not working right.

When I drive fast with the gas pedal to the end, the engine push a lot and the transmission works perfectly, very soft. You can not heard or feel anything while the gearbox go up one to other gear.

... but when I drive soft, for any reason, you can heard and feel a noise and a pull.

Is it something wrong?
Why is not the same when I drive fast than when I drive soft?

-----------------------------

Hola,

It sounds like your transmission kickdown linkage (between the carburetor throttle and the transmission) probably needs adjusting. Do you have a service book for your car?

Does your car have the 1-barrel or 2-barrel carburetor?

from what they have said here, the linkage kick down is only adjustable on the trans with the SS6 setup.

What´s that?
How can I adjust the transmission to work softer?

Another detail: I need to go up to 2700rpm (at least) to change the gear even when I drive soft.

How can I adjust the RPM to change up and down?
