I just bought some used slant 6 headers for $10. I was wondering how hard they are to put on, and what is involved in doing this swap? What materials do I need? and does the intake have to come off? Thanks for the info.

What type of headers did you get? Normally the intake comes off when changing the exuast manifold to header. There may be a slight differance in the thickness of the flanges on the header and the manifold. Are you using the one barrel intake, if you are there may be no interferance using the header but if you use a differant intake you should expect to find some interference.

Now that i think about it even with the one barrel intake you may have to grind some off the intake where the intake and exaust come in contact, I didnt have too but i can see where this can be a problem.

Not sure what kind they are, but the guy I got them from had them on a 63 Dart, with the 1 barrel carb.
