I picked up an 80 Volare with a /6 for my son's first car. It has been sitting several years but it runs and drives. Right now is has the original 1bbl but I picked up a super six setup that will go on over the summer.
I have been searching the posts for the best selection of tune up parts adn have come up with the following list:

Standard Blue Streak dist Cap CH-410x
NAPA Echlin Rotor MO-3000
Auto Lite Spark Plugs (not sure if the number is XP26, APP26 or AP26)
Wires ?? I was just going to get a good quality 7mm silicon set from the local parts store.

Am I on the right track here?

Is the electronic dist and ignition on the 80 sufficient or should I be considering the HEI upgrade.

Thanks,
Scott

Dont forget the Kickdown linkage for the Supersix, 2 1/4 exhaust to the muffler and The HEI is a good upgrade from stock. While your there do the Fuel Line Mod.

The supersix setup I found had everything: throttle cable, kickdown, air cleaner, intake, exhaust. It has the carb too but probably needs a rebuild.

As far as plugs go try the NGK vs the Autolites. The 80 would proably need the UR4 or the UR5 i can't remember which is the stock replacement

Thanks, I have been running NGK's in my bikes for years but never used them in a car.
Does anyone know a good source for the Blustreak Dist cap? I cant seem to locate it locally.
