 Post subject: Wanted: Offy Dual 1BBL
PostPosted: Wed Oct 24, 2001 6:21 pm
I'm looking for an Offy dual 1bbl intake manifold. If anyone has one for sale, or knows where I can purchase one new, please let me know.
Thanks, Tom

Tom...

I'm sure PAW will get you one, even though they only show Offy's /6 4-bbl intake in their catalog. The 2 X 1 is manifold #5041.

Try this site, I have tried to find new Offenhauser parts and this has what I need (2x1 intake and finned aluminum valve cover). For the bid prices on ebay I might as well pay new and have a return policy. I have not dealt with this company before though. This is my first post on slantsix.org and it is a daily pleasure to dip into the deep pool of knowledge. Thanks guys!

Aaron and all...

I've bought a couple of things from vintagehotrodparts and had no problem. He was helpful and responded to e-mail. Cross-checked a couple of the V8 manifolds with PAW and vintagehotrod prices are close.
The Howell Automotive's website :

<A HREF="http://www.howellautomotive.com/parts.h ... ts.html</A>

shows it much cheaper, but site hasn't been updated since 1997...you'd have to contact them for current price.

:Thanks Ron, but I won't be needing carbs. I'm going to be using multiple propane mixers. I have a Clifford intake, but I think I would get more even fuel distribution from the dual set-up. I saw a dual carb manifold on Ebay. I might see how the bidding goes on that. Thanks so much for everyone's responses.
