Do tie rod ends and sleeves interchange thru 72-73 A-bodies?

Post subject:  Do tie rod ends and sleeves interchange thru 72-73 A-bodies?
I have '72 parts can I replace one end on my '73, or do I have to do both and a sleeve? Or maybe the taper fit on the knuckles and or drag link holes is different too? I let some kid at iffylube rupture a boot on one of four new ends, and I am getting around to replacing it.

I believe all A body tie rods and ends are the same (9/16" diam). A good way to check this is go to rockauto.com and look up different part numbers for different years.

There are different tie-rod ends listed for different years, but all A-body tie-rods interchange. Late A-body tie rod ends ('73-'76) were cheaper than what was listed for my '66 Dart years ago so I used the later ones. Unless you had them side by side you'd never see the minute differences.

You can also fit in some beefier tie rods from a B-body? I can't find my crib sheet with the model and years to ask for. :?

C-body (11/16") tie rods also work.

That's right, the C body ones are the upgrade that fits the A body.
