CR will be determined by cam, combustion chamber design/piston design, what kind of fuel and how much boost. There is a huge difference in modern engine designs and these old engines. We run 10.5:1 CR in our race honda with 2.5kg boostpressure, it put out 512rwhp with 2L (stock) bottom end.

My slant will run at ~8:1 cr, but I'm sure the gurus at this great forum has more experience boosting a slant.

Note that with a high duratiing cam with big overlap your actual CR will be lower than the static.

Good luck,
Rob
