How much NOS juice can KB hyper pistons take? It would be a plate NOS system. The motor was already done with hyper not fordged. Thanks.

IF and I mean IF you have the top ring gap set for nitrous use you can spray 150 all day long IF your tune-up is good.

I have killed pistons both times I went over 150.

Contrary to the popular belief, a hyper piston will not shatter like glass. However, you can break one in half.

If you go over 150 you are bound to kill a head gasket anyway.

That's cool. I was think a 100 shot might work. Thanks.

I have KB hyperutectic pistons in a big block Ford that I have shot with a 125HP NOS plate system with a Jacobs "Mastermind" controller many dozens of times with no problems (except broken axles).

Pay heed to Slantzilla's comment on ring gap. Lots of NOS requires a looser gap than the normal .004/inch bore.

On my hyper pistons I have run the top ring gap as for aout as .035". IIRC, KB recommends .024".

Keep your tune-up good and you can spray 100 shot forever. Bad tune-up will kill something faster than you can believe.

Be aware, the hit of nitrous is very intoxicating. 100 won't be enough for long.
