Post subject:  bad torsion bars?

so i went to replace my 890R/891L t-bars in my /6 scamp with some old 892R/893L bars i had from an old duster. seems as if the duster bars have lost their 30* twist, and the twist is only about 10* now, and the right bar has a slight bend to it.

is it even possible for t-bars to loose their twist? the only way i can get these bars into the scamp is to put the right bar on the drivers side, and left bar on the pass. side, but they do work.

seeing as i basically destroyed my old bars getting em out am i screwed and should just buy some new bars?

Yes, springs can lose tension over time, or "take a set".

No, don't swap bars side-to-side.

I'd look for some different bars - and use a gentler method to get them out!
