Hi i've got trouble with my new holley 390 cfm. I don't know how many turn i have to do with the idle mixture needles. The engine runs well, but when i put the drive position it stalls. Probably the mixture is too rich ? Holley 390 cfm, clifford manifold, pertronix ignition, stock exhaust and stock manifold. thanks |

Actually in this case, it may be rich enough, but the idle screw is set too low.... you should block the wheels, have a buddy in the car step on the brake and put in drive... set your idle at that point (try 800 rpm or a bit more if it's still stalling)... -D.Idiot |

Don't want to steal the show but i've got a similar problem but its the opposite. Mine runs to high at about 1200rpm's, and thats the lowest. I noticed I can force the throttle closed and it will be alright. I actually just put a strong spring on it. Am I missing another adjustment? |
