Excellent weekend! weather was on our side for the most part id say... Got to meet a couple of you other slant sixers out there. great bunch a guys, very glad to meet you all. was a fun race in the rain haha!
Im not sure exactly in what order the results turned out to be, if any of you know post a list up, help me from forgetting who was all there.

also sorry i didnt get to hand with the crew much, im a busy guy at the track, alot of cars to help, with my dad racing and sister and uncle and buddies that i didnt get much time to swing by and hang out...im still considering that race in NC but i dont know what im going to do yet...

as for the crosstalk, it sucks we had to have that, it did cause some confusion for all of us, but like i said, for ALL of us racing. it was the same for all of us. i can say from my end of it, that all the cross talk did was make it harder to hit the tree, and reacting b\w 2 bulbs instead of 3, SLOWS you down...anyone going red probably more or less antisipating the lights. i stare at the 3rd bulb when i race, and leave when i see the flash...all my double zero reaction times from the weekend changed when cross talk was on. in the .040 - .070 range...def harder to go red that way to me. but hard to hit it good...

again i had a great time, thanks guys

good job too all glad we had no problems with any of the cars.
great job again greg gettin that gear banger back to the final...this time had to go some rounds to get there first! Hope to race with you guys some were else this year soon![/u]

Cross Talk is a program in the track electronics to be used in classes that allow delay boxes. What CT does is after both cars are staged, both top amber bulbs light at the same time. It is supposed to make it easier for the fast guy with a delay box to crossover. The top light on the faster cars side stays on until it is time for his side of the tree to come down.

At most tracks they will turn it off if you put an "N" on your window by your dial-in.

It is a distraction to someone without a crossover delay box, but when you know it is there you should be able to anticipate it.

I had a great time with everyone there. Great to meet Nick (MrMopar95), even though he spanked me in the 1st round of eliminations.

Romeo Furio was there, although could not run a car due to various reasons. Great chatting with him - talking about old times and future plans.

I believe cross talk was on for almost all of our runs, even though there was not a box car in our ranks. It was on for several elim runs and caused me a bad light. Nick would've beat me badly anyway, though. He was certainly the hot shoe.

I cannot figure out the PRP staff at all - not worth listing all the stupidity. There was talk of moving this race to a non-CC date for next year at PRP, or moving the race to Hagerstown, MD, which would be central to folks from Pitt, Philly, DC/MD, and VA.

I left the time sheets in my car, so I'll post a better rundown later. Essentially, it went like this:

1st round

Greg v. Paul - Greg wins (Paul redlight?)
Lou v. Nick - Nick wins on awesome light and Lou breaks out trying to catch
Phil v. Frank Tedesco - Phil wins on nice overall package
Brian v. Dan - Dan wins on Brian redlight?

2nd round

Nick v. Dan - Nick wins on another excellent package
Greg v. Phil - Phil wins with a great package (0.070), but Xtalk on so rerun
Greg v. Phil - Greg wins on Phil redlight

Finals

Greg v. Nick - Nick wins on nice package and Greg's tree or wheelspin?

Congrats to Nick on a nice set of runs, and Greg for runner up. Also to Phil for several nice packages during the day, incl the 2nd round they had to rerun.

I swapped on a new head and picked up a little to 17.50s. Might make low 17s with more tuning...

After the race, most of us went over to Greg's and had pizza/beer and BSed about racing and running from cops and... Great bunch of folks! I stayed over at Paul and Kristen's place and picked up an '84 truck motor for a new project. Had a beautiful drive back down through PA, WV, and VA in the afternoon.

Lou

I would like to see the Pittsburgh race run as a non CC event as well. We have talked about this for the last few years. The biggest problem is finding the sponsors.

Nick,

I believe you are currently the leader, but we have a lot of races left.

Lou
