Post subject: | Oil Press Drop |
I've noticed that on hard stops my oil pressure drops to 0 psi then returns to 40-50 lbs. I assume this is caused by oil puhing up in the pan and returning....Is this normal on a 65 - 225 ? I figured when I overhaul my Engine soon..I would build some baffles along with a windage screen. Any other Ideas? soupitup@msn.com |

Any other Ideas? I would weld a couple of baffels into the pan and be sure the oil pick-up tube is correct for that year oil pan and positioned close to the pan's floor. Tip: When doing pan baffels and windage trays, always check all clearances, including the dip stick's clearance. DD |
