Well I got my car running and am driving it and tuning. My question is what are you guys with a healty (modified) engine runnig for temps on the street? My car runs 200 on the highway and 205-210 in heavy traiific.I was running 50/50 water and coolant. So yesterday I flushed it a out and put in _40,distilled water and 2 qts. of pink anti-freeze.The race shop up the road said I should expect about a 10 degree cooler engine.Well it now runs 5 degrees hotter.I have a 185 thermostat,Mopar Varroicios clutch fan and a double pass alu. radiator and a 19-21lbs cap.Timigs good and just rechecked valves.Granted it's 105 overbore and a lot of headwork with 10.6-1 comppresion.Does the 200-205 sound comparable with some of yours? The motor man said it should be fine just don't want to see 220-230.The radiator hose are equal once warmed up (it only tkaes about 1 mile to rear temp.Any thoughts or suggestions? ![]() ![]() |
