Is anyone going to attend the Piedmont race??

I just visited the track website and they have a flyer advertising a Slant 6 racing class in conjunction with their Mopar event.

Race will be held on Sep. 28, a Sunday

There is no mention of purses that I saw.

This track is very close to me and I will probably show up and race. Just wondering if anyone else would be interested??

Brian

Interesting. This one is not on our official schedule, but maybe someone was on here a while back and said they were trying to set something up? Maybe from Piedmont Mopar Club?

I love their announcers there... Nice little track.

Lou, I don't think the Piedmont Mopar Club is involved with this event at all. I have heard there has been some sort of disagreement between the club and the track ownership. As far as I know, the track itself is putting on the event.

Sounds like you are the point man! Maybe PM Tom Drake?

Mike McCandles posted about this meet a few months ago. I sent him a PM, asking him to post an update on the race.

I sent anpther e-mail to the track, with no response. Asked them to post some info on this site. Also tried calling the track, but just get a recording of the track schedule, and no voice mailbox. I guess they are not really interested in us slanters.

Sorry guys, it has been a crazy few weeks. My father ended up in the hospital with 99% blockage in an artery. Everything is good now and he's back on his feet. With that, I simply walked away from the track for a period of time to spend time with him and get some things in order. This has cost me valuable time for the event. It is my fault, no excuses. At this point, we just want to get through the event and get planning for next year. Is there a way to make us a stop on the points series for you guys? I've been told by quite a few that if it's not a points race, they aren't real interested in coming. I'll do whatever I can to accomidate you guys. My personal email is My65cuda@aol.com Feel free to email me at anytime and you will get a response in 24 hours.
