I think the timing might be off a little on our 74 Duster and am going to checking it today, but I'm not sure what it should be set at?
I had the carb rebuilt and now I'm having a problem with it wanting to Diesel when I turn it off?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Stock 1974 distributor should be set at TDC initial, and at highway RPMs with stock vacc. can you're at about 28-32 degrees of advance...tops...
