Who's in for the Big Bristol Bash Slant Six Extravaganza?

Dates: Sept 19-21 for the Mopar event, Slant race on Sunday

Location: Bristol "Thunder Valley" 1/4 mile Dragway in Bristol, TN

We will have some notable "far flung" attendees

Glen Terry, current National Champ, from CA
Seymour Pederson from MN, with blue '62 Valiant racecar
Charlie Schmid from FL??
Phil and Dan from Allentown, PA??
Frank and Cinda Brent from AK??

I hope to bring two cars, but at least one.

Probable list:

Phil Stoneback?
Dan Gravatt?
Charlie Schmid?
Mark Charapich (hypervaliant)?
Meril Bruner
Gary Bruner
Larry Chesney
Ellen Chesney?
Rodney Hargis
Wayne Smith?
Derrick Daugherty?
Lou Madsen
Some other driver in Lou's car? (Neal or Beka?)
Curt from Roanoke?
Leighton Drake
Judy Drake
Ron Hamby
Dale Rose
Ron Parker
Norm Foster
Glen Terry
Seymour Pederson
Gordie Stevens??
Frank Brent?

This puts us at 24 possible.

Am I forgetting anyone? Can those listed please confirm?

Looking forward to it,

Lou[/b]

I wouldn't miss Bistol this year, this will probably be one of the best Stant 6 races ever. The blue car is allergic to the wall down there, and I doubt I will ever race it at Bristol again. It does still have the Bristol Tech sticker on it from 1999 though. I am going to take the Blazer and drop off a load of parts at Meril's. I might borrow one of his extra cars and race, or I might just be there to take pictures and meet old friends.

I hope as many racers as possible get to this event.

Would love to go, but not likely. Money is just not available, at this time, and 2 weeks does not give me much chance of raising enough. I am really suprised, I was able to make 4 slant six races, already, this year. That is almost 6,000 miles of towing.

OK, Charlie gets a bye run - such a big supporter of Slant 6 racing!

Seymour will hopefully drive a Meril-mobile.

Good luck to everyone and It's great to see some long haulers too!

Frank,

Sorry to hear it looks like you can Cinda won't make it. Either way, I understand.

We could be as low as 15 at Bristol. Bring those cars out!

Clay City I'm about 80% yes at this point.

Lou

Hope we get a big turnout this weekend. I am working on bringing two cars...

Current list:

Phil Stoneback
Mark Charapich (hypervaliant)?
Meril Bruner
Gary Bruner
Larry Chesney
Ellen Chesney?
Rodney Hargis
Wayne Smith?
Derrick Daugherty?
Lou Madsen
Some other driver in Lou's car? (Neal or Beka?)
Curt from Roanoke?
Leighton Drake
Judy Drake
Ron Hamby
Dale Rose
Ron Parker
Norm Foster
Glen Terry
Seymour Pederson (driving one of Meril's fleet)
Gordie Stevens??
Brian Mimken and the Sixy (brown) Beast

That's 22 possible, but 18 sounds more likely. Bring 'em out folks!!

Lou
