I have a 64 barracuda that I am converting from a three on the tree to a lock up 904 automatic with a floor shifter. Has anyone tried to use a 65 cable shift mechanism with a B&M shifter cable mated to a newer 904. I have never seen a 65 shifter mechanism but there is one on ebay at a resonable price. I understand it is a two cable system but I do not know how it operates. could I just leave out the second cable or are the detents for the shifter positions going to be way off?
