Would anyone know if a 1980 727 Torqueflight from a /6 would bolt up to a 65 273? Same bolt pattern?

Well, dang it anyway. Had a buddy with an unused 273 I thought I might swap into the ol truck while I worked on the /6. Maybe I can find an auto to go behind the 273. ......Thanks much!!!

You'd need a '66 transmission for that swap. '65 won't hook up to your truck's shift or kickdown linkages or driveshaft, and '67 won't fit behind a '65 engine. (the small-large torque converter nose change was one year earlier for V8s than for slant-6s, if I recall correctly).

I would never endeavor to bet against your recollection Dan, I'll take a look at the "parts for sale" tab. Thx again.
