I have a '66 Valiant Station Wagon and noticed the other day that my brake lights remained on even after I had turned off the engine and gotten out of the car. Today, I had the brake light switch replaced and I still have the same problem. Any advice? Thanks! ;)

Mmmm...adjust the newly-replaced brake light switch: loosen its bolt so that the switch and bracket can be moved with effort (not just flopping around loosely). Push the bracket forward until the switch plunger contacts the brake pedal arm, then an additional fraction of an inch so the plunger is pressed slightly. Don't overdo it; the brake lamp switch is not meant to act as the brake pedal "up" stop, and if it's misadjusted that way, it'll be broken again soon. Hold the bracket in place carefully while you tighten the bolt.
