On my 75 duster I cant get it to turn over. I put a new neutral safety switch and starter relay, but when I turn the key nothing happens. what could be causing this? |

Have you disconnected the harness and done a ring test on the switch itself? Automatic transmission? The neutral switch can be damaged if you over-tighten it. Don't know on the manual. Never had one. CJ |

So I got to looking at it and the car will turn over if I put a screw driver on the starter relay. And the starter cranked when I put a screw driver on the wires from the batter. So I am thinking its the ignition switch because the switch will turn even without a key in it. |

I second the switch. There is definitely something wrong with at least the lock cylinder, and if that is messed up, chances are the ignition switch is messed up too.
