I could not look at the movie for the 2280 supplied here because Quicktime wasted about 2 hours of my time trying to install it (won't install-old program will not uninstall) so I hate to ask if there is any diagrams available or any other information about these carbs.

A '78 factory service manual should get you much of the way there. Maybe try a different computer (library?) to view the movie.
