All you HAVE to add is a seat belt, helmet, and make sure your Dart is safe from a mechanical standpoint. (even that seems to be optional at some tracks)

I just drive to the track with my bone-stock Dart 270, buckle up, strap on the brain bucket and run blistering speeds of 58 mph in the 1/8. Tons of fun being the slowest car at the track, even more fun being the most consistent (depending on the driver  )

If you want to modify for speed and power, start searching around the Engine section for threads on head modifications, cam selections, etc.

I'm with Chris on this one, start small, helmet and what ever the track wants you to have. Then go race it and as you do modify it for speed you can see the effect (hopefully faster) next time you go to the track. Haven't done it yet myself but that is my plan.

One of the main things you need to do, is determine your plans for the car. Street mostly, strip mostley, strip only. How far are you willing to go on the build? Just bolt on stuff, internal mods, etc. What is your budget? Then develope a plan.

STOP!!! don't go to the track. It does all kinds of things to your mind. It's a sickness I tell you....a sickness!!!!! You'll get addicted to wanting to go just that little bit quicker and before you know it you're living your life in 10ths and 100ths of seconds.
Who am I kidding, get that car down the track ASAP and join us..........join us, join us

:D
