Nicely formatted info here; I have a somewhat more complete text version here. This info, though, is of limited use to us in the U.S.; these terminal and wire designations are utterly absent from our cars! |

Have an issue with busted ignition switch - Bosch is the only crowd that has a 5 terminal switch which fit inside the Mopar Bezel BUT the big but none of the aftermarket switches has a ign2 position - it looks as if I can use the strt to feed ign2 since they are both only energized during cranking |

You can,t connect start and ign2 together, power will back feed through the ballast resistor, through ign2 wire and keep the start wire supplied with about 5-6 volts with switch in the 'run' position. Two ways to solve this problem would be to install a diode with a 10A rating in series with ign2,or some mid 70s-up starter relays had a separate terminal that was hot during cranking, and isolated the rest of the time. This terminal was used to trigger the EGR timer, but could be used to feed ign2 wire. |
