hello. a while back i was given a OMC /6. is there anything unique about these? thanks, Andy. |

The block and head are same as passenger car, but much of the rest of the equipment is different. Water pump, oil pan, valve cover, manifolds, ignition, etc. |

Is there a difference on the thrust bearings and crank in boat motors? |

There were both cast and forged crank marine engines so, yes. |

I didn't say that. If the engine truly came from Chrysler Marine and Industrial the crank may not have been drilled for a pilot bearing. |

If reverse rotation the rear main surface groves/lines will then direct oil out of the seal instead of back inside when used in standard rotation engine. hey yall |
