Redding raceway has really done some improvements over the winter. They have up-graded all the timing lights, computers, and just finished up with their annual "Cool April Nights" race without any problems..They had over 300 cars and what a turnout..all were impressed with the upgrades and now it is our turn to BEE THERE...(May 30-31) The track owner contacted our group and want to start a Saturday Night BBQ for all he racers. This is the first Slant6 race (other than Vegas) and this is where last year, our team set the National Record for the most ever Slant6 cars at any race...ever..
For those that have sent in your membership $$, your race DVD and Slant6 T-shirts will be there for you to pick up..For those that haven't joined, don't worry, Sergio and PJ will be there with a sign up sheet and we will bring extra Slant6 shirts/DVD's for you to pick up. BEE SURE if you have not completed your team membership, to see Sergio. Again, we are having the track open late on Friday and again you can set up and spend the weekend there at the track..(No charge) They really like our group and again are offering very reduced tech fees, for just our team members.
BEE AT REDDING ON MAY 30-31

Will someone be setting up Tech in the pits again for team members? :D That was a nice touch last year.

I got my old 1bbl stack back on, and finally found a noodle pipe to choke it down. I'm ready for you Andrew!

Nah. I'm gonna use one drywall screw to hold the Holley 1945 on. That'll give me more air. I can't find the power valve, so I need all the air I can get.

What do you think of an old sock for an air filter? I'm going to supercharge the holley with my leaf blower. Bring me some 40:1 mix.

I have just confirmed also that the Redding track will continue to honor its tech fees for just our slant6 group of $10.00 total for both days. Be sure to pick up two tech cards when you go in. The admission will stay the same at $10.00 per person per day. Most will pay for both days when they go in so you won't have to go back through again on Sunday. BEE SURE to tell them you are with the slant6 team and PLEASE GET TWO TECH CARDS. Glen will see if he can get us tech-ed again as a group...BEE THERE...BBQ ON SATURDAY. Our team will bring chips and dips and it will be paid by Sergio from the "kitty". Gates open from 5:00 -9:00 on Friday.Where can youy race for such a deal and get fed also....FREE PARKING..FREE BBQ, $10.00 TECH...NEW TIMING LIGHTS..NEW BLEACHERS... Come and see if CJ can beat Andrew..I hear CJ wants a little (big) head start???? I too with my little 170 want a little head start if I am going to keep up with Andrew and Aric..BEE THERE ON MAY 30-31 AT REDDING..

Shoot, I could knock another two seconds off the Hooptie and I'd still get to leave first against you guys!

I did a bit of testing this weekend with Josh's G-Tech. Someday he's going to want that back!
I'll be running on the 500 cfm setup. I took the cam back to where it was, 3° advanced, and pulled off a solid time with THOR onboard. If I ever get the '63 going, the Hooptie is going to be relegated to "Tow Truck" duties. The stroker is a Tractor. Not the best choice for a drag car. :D

See you in Redding! We'll bring Fopar along in his cute little red Dart GT-SHO. Yep, it has Ford parts in it too!

Amy can't make it there. But I will be there Saturday, but not with Dobie. I am saving it for June 6th. I will have my camera, but only for still photos, and will put them on the site on Sunday. Since I am moving to GA, I wanted to tell everyone goodbye, that won't be at the race on June 6th. So no racing for me. But I am also meeting a buddy I last saw in 4th grade. He sent me the photos of the class, and since then, we said we had to meet up. Since he lives in Redding, I want to meet him before I move. I am moving on June 27th, is what the plan is there. I should be at the BBQ, and leave after that. And as you probably know - I don't need that DVD....... I hope you enjoy it though.

Have a great time in Redding folks. :D

Some issues have come up, and I need to stick around home.

My appologies for the late cancellation.
