I have a floor shifted 1960 Valiant project and I'd like to swap in the a-230 full synchro 3 speed box. I have done alot of seaching in the archives but haven't found definitive answers to a few questions.

1. Will the 230 bolt up to my bell housing (see pic)?

2. Will my stock linkage adjust enough to shift properly?

3. How do I positively i.d. the 230? (i.e. casting numbers.)

I have the correct driveline from a 66 Val sitting around so this swap would be kinda nice! Thanks for any advice. Cheers - Mike

Yes, the bell housing BP is the same
Linkage will need some "re-arranging" but do not let that stop you.
You will need a 1966 A-Body speedo cable.
I have a couple of used 230s so send me a PM if you need one.
