I took this part off my 74 Dart Sport when i began the restoration in 2005. It is some kind of splash/dirt shield from the engine compartment. Where does it go?

I believe that is a splash shield that bolts to the frame rail in front of the k-frame. Let me look at my brother's 74 Duster.

Thats is a splash shield I believe it goes on the framerail, that notch goes around the steering link. One bolt in front of the steering link and two behind.
