that looks like its from the volare, ive got that same piece in one of my box o' parts, think i pulled that and a length of flexible air intake tubing with my super six setup, looks good, might try something similar on my dart

That warms my heart.

I can say that the cold air setup I fabbed for my '68 Dart actually DID pick it up 0.4 sec in the 1/8th mile - a lot. That was compared to NO air cleaner and just an open throttle body. YMMV...

I like it. Just one suggestion , maybe replace the middle sauce can with a flexible type tube (duct), so if you have to take the air cleaner off, it might make it easier.

I thought of that, but the assembly has quite a bit of flexibility in it as is. The tube is not very rigid. In fact, I probably should add a hose clamp at the snorkel end to secure it a little better. I'll wait until I get it riveted and see what's necessary.

I love the home grown flavour of your setup. A guy I met has an old ford pickup with floor pans made of old highway signs. I'm absolutely stealing that idea at some point.

If the effect of spaghetti sauce on my waistline is any indication, you could probably switch the cans out for a low-fat variety if you need to lean out your mixture. :roll:

For this I used Hunt's and Del Monte 26 and 26.5 ounce cans, respectively.
Word to the wise: people look at you oddly when they see you measuring cans in the grocery store.
