Hey everyone.. I'm pretty sure my alternator is junk. Does anyone know where to pick up a cheap alternator? |

Sure, you can pick up a cheap "remanufactured" alternator at your nearest parts store. Then you get to change it again and again and again as they fail in sequence. Did you really mean you wanted a reliable replacement alternator? |

You can pick up a reman alternator at your local parts store for fairly cheap. A more long-term alternative would be to take your alternator to a good shop that rebuilds alternators and starters. |

went to the salvage yard and picked one up for free from a buddy. Noticed the voltage regulator wire was disconnected too, so I think that was the main cause to the problem. Its cranking plenty of voltage back to the battery now though, so hopefully this alternator doesnt go out right away! |
