I thought I read someplace the high and low ohm reading on an early A fuel sending unit was 0 to 90 (not sure which is for empty and for full). Can anyone confirm that or shed some further light on the subject?

It is the same as a Ford, 73 empty, 9 full. So if you are buying after market gauges look for the Ford gas gauge, they don't make a Chrysler one.
