 Post subject: cast 2.2 pistons.

hello. can i use cast 2.2 turbo pistons on a long rod 225 with stock 198 rods? will be a non turbo street build with around .500 lift cam. thanks, andy.

i was just wondering if the cast piston is sufficient compared to the more expensive forged variety.

All cast pistons are not alike.
What type or brand do you have?
In general, a good quality cast piston will be fine for a street engine that is under 10 to 1 compression and kept under 6000 rpms.
No N2O, no boost.

thanks, doc. i do not have any yet, would welcome any recommendations on those. i already have the 198 rods, but my budget is very tight. plan on 9.5 comp with no plans for power adders. andy.
