Anyone else notice that lately ( the last three years) The Brake Shoes that require a stud pressed in for the lower springs are no longer sold with the shoes?
My '70 Valiant takes 9" fronts and backs. The #329 and #330 brake shoes no longer come with these studs. I just bought these three years ago same place, same part number.

I bought a set of 10" shoes a couple of months ago; they had the pins installed.

Really? where?

These were bought, both heebsite specifically shows them sitting next to the shoes. I have an E-mail out directly to NAPABRAKE .COM to see what they will tell me.
As a side note with tehse brakes, teh PAd surface is much less then they were. I'm replacing these Shoes with 18400 miles on them because of a rear axle seal leak that wet the shoes. The shoes on the car have a thicker brake material left on them then the new ones I just bought. I think NAPA is getting cheesy on their shoes.

I have seen a number of sets where the pins are not installed into the shoes but they were in a small plastic bag, included in the box.
In that case, you have to install the pins yourself.

YUP that's what I'm used to but this time around NAPA's brakes didn't come with them. I called and they verified that the don't come with them any more. I wrote a letter to NAPABRAKE.COM and asked them what I'm supposed to do with their brakes if my old shoes have the Pins all messed up AND NAPA doesn't even sell the pins separate. We'll see what they say.

The pins also come in a brake hardware kit. I might have some extra ones if you want to PM me your address.

Thanks Dave, Let me see if NAPABRAKE has a different story then what I got from the counter guys. Even though the counter guy said they called coporate and got that answer.
