 Post subject: Trim Studs for '74

I lost one of the studs that holds the plate to the back of my trunk. This is the large rectangular piece that has a V-bend in the middle of it that goes between the tail lights.

Heard it hit the ground, but you know how that goes. :roll:

This stud clips onto the trim piece, the stud goes through the sheet steel beneath the trunk lid, and a speed nut affixes it to the back of the car.

Are these still available, or do I need to crawl around on the ground and find it? :lol:

Sounds like a standard trim clip; probably a "butterfly" type of item. Bet you can find it from Restoration Specialties or AMK; see here.

go to a "paint" store......for automotive supplies...take a clip w/ you.I got some for my Barracuda at my local one......so a 74 should be easier??
