I lost one of the studs that holds the plate to the back of my trunk. This is the large rectangular piece that has a V-bend in the middle of it that goes between the tail lights. Heard it hit the ground, but you know how that goes. This stud clips onto the trim piece, the stud goes through the sheet steel beneath the trunk lid, and a speed nut affixes it to the back of the car. Are these still available, or do I need to crawl around on the ground and find it? CJ |

Sounds like a standard trim clip; probably a "butterfly" type of item. Bet you can find it from Restoration Specialties or AMK; see here. |

It's the Hooptie. I'm covering up, not beautifying! I guess I could take some soap to it, but that would be out of character. I'll take a pic of a stud tomorrow. Too jet lagged right now. Only three more trips back, and I get to sleep at night again! CJ |
